  1. X-Men: TAS! Such a fantastic cartoon!
  2. Thank you for the kind words. Aye, I wrote it a few years ago.
  3. I love horror movies, especially the stranger ones. My favorites include Hellraiser, Wishmaster, Halloween (1978), A Nightmare On Elm Street (1984), The Thing (1982), Event Horizon, From Beyond, The Evil Dead (1981), etc. I love John Carpenter's films, especially the Snake Plissken series. Some of the older "comic books turned movies" are great (e.g., Judge Dredd and Spawn). The Room is probably the single greatest movie ever made (with Troll 2 coming close). Old monster movies like It Came from Beneath the Sea and The Beast from 20,000 Fathoms are my life. I also have a substantial Godzilla collection (I'm only missing a few movies).

  5. I guess I'm the only black metal and death metal fan here? I've been absolutely in love with Windir and Agalloch lately. Caladan Brood was a recent discovery as well. Of course, I love all the classics: Immortal, Darkthrone, Bathory, Celtic Frost, etc. Amon Amarth used to be really good, but have really started to fall (IMO) similar to In Flames. Classic metal and hard rock bands are always a good choice: Iron Maiden, Judas Priest, Black Sabbath, Motorhead, etc. I really like Primordial and Dark Tranquillity. I haven't really liked Metallica since the black album, but I still adore Slayer. I've taken to folk metal bands like Eluveitie and Korpiklaani due to my love of history and mythology. I've been known to put on Sabaton or Blind Guardian from time to time. BABYMETAL IS LIFE! I can't stand nu-metal (Slipknot, Korn, Coal Chamber, etc.) or bands like Black Veil Brides. I'm not a fan of hiphop for that matter. I do like country, however -- at least older country (think Hank Williams and Loretta Lynn).
  6. There's quite a few, and some of the bigger ones (most have already been mentioned by others) would be Cowboy Bebop; the Dragonball franchise, Trigun, Berserk, Panty & Stocking, FMA, GitS, Evangelion, Desert Punk, FLCL, Yu Yu Hakusho and Outlaw Star. There are a lot I've watched more recently (which I'm mildly ashamed of): High School DxD, Hyakka Ryoran: Samurai Girls, Date A Live, Kore wa Zombie desu Ka?, Sekirei, High School of the Dead, Zero no Tsukaima, Sankarea, and Demon King Daimao. I've seen a few episodes of Attack On Titan, and it seems pretty good. The one everyone around me seems to love is Sword Art Online, but I just couldn't get into it (perhaps because I'm not a gamer?). Omamori Himari was also mentioned! That's another less known one I really enjoy.
  7. This is something I wrote a few years back as an ode to Winter: Naked you stand before me, Solemn and beautiful, Your touch is sharp and yet comforting. Under your dark and somber skies I find succor, And in your frigid winds I find warmth. Your pale melancholy beckons me; Your frozen embrace seduces me. Mournful and yet soothing, O' funereal Winter, My deathly queen; Long have I yearned for your return. Now I take your pale hand, My tenebrous and sacred love. Let us dance for one more year.
  8. I don't watch much television anymore, so I'm not exactly up to speed on a lot of the newer shows. I grew up on the X-Files, Tales from the Crypt, the Twilight Zone, Goosebumps and the like; and they are all still favorites of mine -- honestly, I miss all the horror/sci-fi anthology shows from the 80s and 90s (someone should bring them back). SG1 was mentioned above, that's another favorite; though I never could get into the other Stargate series. Speaking of shows involving Richard Dean Anderson, I've always loved MacGyver too. I also forgot to mention Star Trek: TNG! That's another one I grew up on and absolutely adore.
